Banzai Hydro Blast Water Park Review

We have only had this for a few hours and will definitely be returning it to the store. The two "race" slides are very steep with about 10 inches of water at the bottom and NO cushioning...NO cushioning!

My daughter went down on her back and still hurt herself on the very first time... when the little pool was nearly full of water (full is about 10"... especially with kids constantly splashing)

Nobody would ever dream of installing a very steep slide entering an underground swimming pool in the shallow end with only 10 inches of water! So, why does this seem OK to Banzai? This is a law suit waiting to happen!!!But, not for me.I am taking mine back.

This is the first review I have I ever written of any product.I felt responsible to warn people about this.

UPDATE: I actually got a tape measure and measured the water depth at the bottom of the two steep slides - it was exactly 7 3/4 inches (7.75).This was when the pool was full.My yard is pretty flat. The deepest measurement in the entire pool was about 9 1/2 inches. The product photos make the pool area appear much deeper than it is. Just a promotional tool/ploy.

Banzai Blast Water Park Review

First off, the picture posted online depicted the actual water park more accurately than the one I purchased at Target. The box from Target showed 6 kids that looked between 5-8 years old all over this pool.

I got it home couldn't use my blower to inflate the pool since it only had the small blowholes for the handheld pumps. The pool is separate from the inflated arch & slide. The slide has to be tied down to secure it to the pool, the arch has velcro to attach it to the pool. The arch didn't become an issue until I hooked the hose up to have the waterfall from the archway. The water fell directly in front of the slide, and not on the slide to help my 3yr old slip easily down to pool. The water weighted down the arch and it tipped over into the pool, I even tried turning down the amount of water coming through the hose...but that didn't help either.I was finally reduced to McGuiver a dog leash strapped to the arch and ancored to the ground with landscaping staples.

The box said for ages 2 and up.My son is 3yrs old and had to duck to get under the arch on the slide.I intended on having his two best friends ages 2 & 3 come over and play too, but unfortunately the pool area would only leave enough room for 1 kid!

I'm returning it to Target and taking my son to the waterpark instead!

Banzai Double Splash Slide Pool Review

I purchased this pool on clearance at Target a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to get a pool for my toddler that wasn't too big, but bigger than those plastic ones you can buy at Wal-mart. This one is perfect for her! She loves the dual slide, although she was quite scared at first.

The plastic is nice and thick and has stood up so far to her jumping all over it. I did not attach the canopy yet because my DD does not like water sprayed on her face, but the pool is perfectly fine (and lots of fun) without it.

Please be advised that you will have to supervise your children, which is obvious because it is a pool, but also because of the slide feature. It is a drowning hazard, like the other reviewer stated, and the childs head could get caught between the pool and the slide on both sides. I wish the slide could detach, but I'm sure my DD would disagree.

Overall, it was worth the money I paid and even if it deflates in a week I will still be happy with my purchase.

Banzai Shark Spray Pool Review

I thought my children would love this. I have two toddlers first of all the water that comes out of the head goes over the front of the head and not into the pool and the size is no where near what they show. I think they say it's about 8' long or so, they say on the box actually sizes may vary. I'd say the pool is about half the size of what they show and no where as deep.

Slide N'Splash Whale Pool Review

I purchased this item which stated on the box for ages upto 12. This was a joke of a pool. My 3 years legs came all the way to the bottom of the side when he set on top of the slide. He would have to hold his legs up just to be able to slide down a few inches. This wasn't even big enough for a 3 year old much less a 12 year old. The slide was also unstable. more like a waddling pool for a young toddler. I contacted the company and they didn't even bother to respond. The picture on the box was blown up so big that it looked like a large pool. This is the second time I have writen a review on amazon about this pool. Looks like the pool had tons of bad reviews so they just recreated a new page with no reviews. I had posted a picture of the pool with my son on the slide but they took that off too. False advertisement and looks like amazon is in on it as well since they deleted all the bad reviews and started with a new page.

Banzai Aqua Adventure Water Park Review

Do Not purchase this item!!We bought it last summer and had it up for about a month and a half. The kids loved it.We brought it out this summer and set it up.It did not inflate all the way, we discovered it was comming apart at the seams in many places.I called the company and they were not only not willing to replace it but, they were rude.I will never buy another product from them again. That was a huge lesson to learn. Please do not waste your money on such poor quality.

Banzai Rain Forest Sprinkles Pool Review

I laughed out loud after I set this up for my son.It was a gift, so I can't complain too much, but man, it was funny. The plastic is so thin that you think it might pop if you inflate it too much, but it hardly stands up unless you do.It was about half the size that it appeared on the box, and then I turned the water on.The "rain forest sprinkles" are about 25 jets of water, half of which SHOOT OUT INTO THE YARD, and miss the pool completely.Unless you want a swamp in the area surrounding your "rain forest sprinkles pool", I'd stay away.

Banzai Double Drop Falls Water Slide with 1 Water Blasting Cannon, Waterfalls & Splash Pool Review

This slide is awesome. We bought it for our 5 year old and have used it several times now.It is so easy to put up and only takes a few minutes to get it up and running.Taking it down takes a little more time and you really need to make sure it is dried off before you put it away. We really love the cannon blasts on this as it makes it even more fun for the kids who are waiting to go up it!They take turns going up and take turns shooting water on each other. This slide has been a huge hit at all of our parties. We had the version which didn't have the cannon blasts and didn't have the double drop and this one is much better! Also, the water coming out of the arches at the top really makes a big and better difference too!!

Sun Searcher Pool Water Park Slide Review

We purchased this slide last summer for my 5 year old and 10 year old (I did not see any age limits just weight limits and my ten year old weighed 70# soaking wet and this box said it can hold a 100# pound child). The kids went down it a few time and it was fine, then my ten year old started running up the slide and flying down it, as a 10 year old will do.Well all the sudden he stopped using it and when I asked why he said it was because it hurt is bottom when he landed.Well the little guy who weighs 40# had no problem so i thought i would check it out and yes I was about 30 #over the wright limit i know.So I went down and when i landed on the bottom my breath was taken away and it hurt!!!!!!So for sure this slide is for the light weights, I would say 50# or less!2ND after 3 months of use we found a hole in the pool part at the bottom that made the slide less sturdy and your landing even worse (the 40 pounder now hit the bottom too hard). We stored our slide in th egarage when not in use but after 3 months we noticed another hole (patched the 1st one) that was from the seams wearing out and could not patch that one because it was in an area that had a crease. Then something started flaking of on the inside and water would fill up in the inside of the slide. We are very disappointed and are looking to buy a new slide this year. Whren you spend $300 on a slide you expect more than 3 months of use (although we really only get 3 usable months of the year to use it here).I will be much more cautious in buying a slide this time and truly appreciate these types of reviews!!!!

Intex Recreation Slide'N Fun Play Center, Age 6+ with Shelf Box Review

I decided to purchase this pool for my 2 1/2 yr old, over the smaller kiddie pools, hoping he could get more fun out of it.Am so glad I did.We don't fill the deep end as full, and he is able to go between the two sections, sometimes sliding, sometimes just climbing.I worried he would have to get out and go around to slide, tracking grass in each time, but he doesn't have to leave the pool.It isn't clear from the picture, but there is a bench "seat" in the deep end, making it easy for him to climb up and slide down.Pool was bigger than I expected, too.My son loves to throw his toys from one section to the other and go back and forth to retrieve. It is great, safe play, and consumes a lot of energy from him. What more could a parent want?Plan to have my 12 yr old niece join him, and when it is hot enough, I probably will too.

Banzai Pipeline Twist Aqua Park Review

We hold a yearly family party in which we host over 50 kids, mostly in the preschool age group.I can not imagine the kids having more fun than they did on this slide. It has 2 very different slides, a pool, high power waterguns, and a tunnel. All of the components are well designed and durable. The slide held an average of 10 kids at a time for over 8 hours.

We set this up alongside another banzai slide that we bought 4 years ago, which is still looking and working well.

We store our slides in inexpensive plastic trash cans.If you leave them outside, use a tarp to protect from UV.

You need a very large flat and level area to set this up.If it is not almost perfectly level, the pool will not fill properly, which makes the smaller slide dangerous.

Setup is relatively quick for something of this size and scope. You also need at least an hour to get a decent amount of water in the pool before letting kids play. However, drying this thing out for storage takes forever. But I don't see how the company can avoid that.

We wish that the curved slide had a slightly taller back bumper to discourage kids from climbing up on it.We had to chase kids off of it all day in fear they would fall 7 feet onto the hard ground.

Little Tikes Rocky Mountain River Race Review

I researched all kinds of these before finally deciding on this one. This one had the best ratings!! I had decided to order it and then lucked out and found it at wal mart on sale for $300.So I bought it.It really wasn't hard to set up at all.The only thing is it is very heavy.Yes, the blower constantly blows to keep the waterslide inflated and this means you need to have it plugged it in.But the neat thing is, its pretty self-contained.There's not a lot of running around outside the slide because they come down the slides into the wading pool and go right back up the center. They don't have to get out very much which also saves from them dragging grass clippings into the water. We've only had this since July 4th, 2009, but it seems very durable and what fun!! My 3 year old grandson played so much on it all weekend. The box says its rated for 350 lbs. But I'd think that might be a bit hard on it but it also means its great for holding several kids at a time. The other thing is you have to continually run the water to it to keep it wet.It would be neat if you could recirculate the water but you can't.We are able to hook the hose up to warm and cold water so the kids really like! Yes we did run out of hot water but we adults had lots of fun just watching the kids play too!Its well worth it!Once you unplug the blower, it goes flat in several minutes. They recommend getting all the water out then turn the blower on to inflate it and let it dry out good before you put it away.It comes with a storage bag but i have no idea how you'd ever get it into that.It is quite heavy! We used a big box when we took it down to put it away during the week when we aren't around as much!I think at first my husband thought I was crazy and after seeing the kids on it for 15 minutes they all told me I'd done good.. its awesome!!At this time I have no regrets about buying this!

Blast Zone Crocodile Isle Inflatable water Park with Dual Slides by Blast Zone Review

I have used this inflatable slide about five times inside the house with no water (weather cold but the kids were dying to use)and twice outside with water. We had five kids using it at a time and it so far as withheld it all well.It seems to be sturdy. It's steady and I was not stressed while watching them play that they would hurt themselves. It's nice that the ladder is in the center so if they slip down they will hit the cushion bottom or water. My kids played with this outside for about five hours each time. They were thoroughly entertained. The big kids (9 and 8) enjoyed the slides and the little kids (2,3,4) had enough room to play in the pool part without getting run over by the big kids. It's just been great.Of course, the deflating and getting water out is a pain, as with all of them. The water gets inside of it no matter what and it's virtually impossible to get it all out. That happened to our other slide last year so I think it's just the way it goes.I highly recommend this product so far.

Little Tikes Slam 'N Slide Review

I bought this for my daughter's 4th bday party. The children played on it 5 hours! It held up great. The pool area was great for the toddlers at the party. My only problem was water got inside it, which is normal since there are small holes in the seams of the float. (note: the small holes are supposed to be there to let air come out of the float.)So it was hard to get the water out and dry it out. After 2 days, we crossed our fingers hoping we dried it well enough, and stored it away.

UPDATE: July 2008We pulled the slide out again this year.Minimal "molding" from putting the slide away slightly damp.Scrubbed it with soap and water and set it up.The sun cleaned it right up and the kids played another solid 5 hours on it.We didn't turn the water on as high this year and that helped keep so much water from getting inside the slide.Dried it out for 4 days in our garage. It was completely dry and folded up nicely.I am happy to be getting my monies worth from this slide. The price I paid for it was the same price to rent a slide for one afternoon. Now I've used it 2 years... going for a 3rd next year!

Buyer beware.Just like other Banzai products, the actual size of the product is much smaller than the one on the box. There is no way that many kids could fit in this pool.Max would be two 3-year-olds.My 4-year-old thinks the pool is great but it is WAY smaller than the picture on the box. It is not worth the nearly $50 Amazon is charging. I am disappointed that Amazon would sell a product so misrepresented and do not think this should be allowed.I do not have a picture of the actual size but go to http://www.amazon.com/Banzai-Wild-Waves-Water-Park/dp/B0000VSGU0 to see a picture of the Banzai Wild Waves Pool actual size.Click on the consumer pictures on the bottom.

Banzai Splash Blast Lagoon Review

I was looking for a pool that would be perfect for my son and neices who range in age from 16months to 4 years. I purchased the Banzai Blast Water Park first and was very disapointed. I decided to give this brand another go, only this time get one that was MUCH bigger. To see this pool in video form, you can see it in action on the web, look for it, it will make you want to get one. It was very easy & very quick to set up, an inflate. It is a perfect size for a toddler or preschooler, easy to climb slide, and big enough pool without being to deep. Four kids can have a blast in this pool. Also, easy and quick to put away too. One little thing I don't like, the water spray was pretty harsh on them, they prefer it without that part turned on. Great purchase, a little hint though, you can get it for almost a hundred dollars cheaper elsewhere.
